Abu Simbel
One of Egypt’s most breathtaking monuments, Abu Simbel consists of two massive rock-cut temples built by Pharaoh Ramses II to commemorate his victory at the Battle of Kadesh and honor himself and his beloved wife, Queen Nefertari.
🔹 Great Temple of Ramses II – Dominated by four colossal statues of the pharaoh, each standing 20 meters tall, this temple aligns with the sun in such a way that twice a year (on February 22 & October 22).
